How long have you worked at A Slower Space?
I opened A Slower Space with Mike in October 2019
What position do you work in the store?
My job is mainly working with Mike to buy the products for the shop. I also work on the flowers and make lots of to do lists
What is your ‘go to’ coffee order?
I love a flat white with coconut milk it gives me holiday vibes.
What are your three favourite items in the store and why?
1- Kip candles, they last ages because they are made of soy wax, the smells are dreamy and strong enough to fill the room and they are all made in Liverpool. I am currently in love with the chai scent. The travel candles are great to pop in the post to surprise a friend.
2- Weathered Penny jewellery is always a go to for gifts as it’s stylish but also timeless. It all made in London and silver or gold plated
3- I love the plant pots by kitsch kitchen they make you smile and I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t like them
What’s your favourite local hangout?
My favourite hang out is the Palm House Sefton Park. It’s a perfect place to wander around and relax. They have the most arranging collection of plants and I love seeing the gigantic size that some of the plants that we sell can grow too!

What position do you work in the store?
I mainly work with the fresh and dried flowers and on the shop floor.
What is your ‘go to’ coffee order?
I’d actually rather have a cup of tea!
What are your 3 favourite items in the store and why?
1- The beautiful Madam Stoltz ceramics made in Denmark. I love their handmade feel.
2- Liverpool based Disco Slab’s terrazzo designs are fab. I love their modern and colourful style.
3- The £8 floral bunches available in store each day. We use the best quality seasonal flowers. They make the perfect gift.
What is your favourite local hangout?
I love going for a family walk along the river at Hale lighthouse.

How long have you worked at A Slower Space?
I started with A Slower Space in September 2021.
What position do you work in the store?
You will more than likely find me working with both fresh and dried flowers, making up bunches and orders.
What is your ‘go to’ coffee order?
A flat white every time!
What are your three favourite items in the store and why?
1. Dre cakes - I'm yet to have a bad one! It's rare for me to do a shift without taking one or two home!
2. Maranta fascinator (the prayer plant) - I think the leaves are gorgeous and love how they close up at night.
3. Fan Club art - They have the best song choices as a print, and the colours and design work so well.
What’s your favourite local hangout?
The Old School House on Lark Lane for drinks and something to eat. They're dog friendly too, so after walking my dog through Sefton Park, that's where you'll find us!

What position do you work in the store?
I mostly help out around the shop making coffees and helping the lovely customers.
What is your ‘go to’ coffee order?
I love an oat milk cappuccino with lots of chocolate on top.
What are your three favourite items in the store and why?
1- I absolutely love all of the aloe earrings, they’re all so colourful and unique.
2- I also really love our fresh eucalyptus, they look gorgeous in some of our lovely vases or hung over the shower.
3- Table chocolate is one of my favourite chocolates, the flavours are amazing and it’s all handmade locally.
What’s your favourite local hangout?
My favourite hangout has to be Lark Lane - there are so many gorgeous places to eat out/look around, and Keith’s wine bar always holds the best jazz nights.

I opened A Slower Space with Shell in October 2019
What position do you work in the store?
I work closely with Michelle on curating the store and deciding who to approach to be stocked. I also design our branding and now cards.
What is your ‘go to’ coffee order?
Same as shell, I love a flat white with coconut milk- reminds me of Sri Lanka.
What are your three favourite items in the store and why?
1- Hotel Magique timeless art and souvenirs. I love how they capture the sense of travel in a sophisticated and timeless fashion.
2- Hk living ceramics, I love their 70s inspired mugs and vases. I love how they are inspired by traditional designs but always give it a modern look and feel.
3- I love the strelitzia Nicola or bird of paradise plant. Amazingly dramatic and super sleek all at the same time.
What’s your favourite local hangout?
My favourite hang out is Belzan on smithdown. Awesome people, great cocktails and amazingly delicious food of the highest quality. Their first venture Filter & Fox will always remain a fav of mine.

What position do you work in the store?
You will probably find me trying to do latte art at the coffee desk but I have been working on improving my floristry skills.
What is your ‘go to’ coffee order?
Coconut latte with hazelnut syrup
What are your three favourite items in the store and why?
1- the ZZ Plant because it’s my favourite house plant and looks so classy
2- Black-lines Bottled Cocktails (in particular Pear & White Tea Fizz) because it tastes amazing!
3- Fan Club prints because they have a really modern aesthetic
What’s your favourite local hangout?
The Sefton Park Palm House because when I’m not at work around plants its the perfect plant fix.
